Merry Christmas 2015

I make just one Christmas card each year. 

This one was made in 2015 for a couple who are dear friends. It was inspired by one of Neli Beneva's Christmas cards. I just love all the amazing cards she makes. Do check out her blog. 

Theme for a Dream

(Borrowed the title from a Cliff Richard song that I love.) 

This was made in December 2016 for a dear friend. Wishing that the world had more people like her.

Paisley Time

Paisley is a term in English for what in India is called the mango motif. It is extremely popular and found in a lot of traditional Indian weaves. 

I tried my hand at doing the same motif in quilling.

Supplies used are quilling paper and glue. The edges of the card have been inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. Edges of some of the quilling has been inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Peacock Feathers.

Autumn Harvest

This was made in October 2016 for a dear friend, without whose love, support, and encouragement, I would have given up quilling a long time ago!

Claude Monet: Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies

This one is made in August 2016 for a fan of Monet's Water Lilies' series of paintings. 

It was the first time I had tried quilling this type of work. I have made tons of mistakes and would have absolutely loved to redo the work with the knowledge of what I learned along the way. But time was a huge constraint.

Needless to say, I am a little embarrassed to be posting this work in public. But here goes.....
